A Teams Site is geared toward university committee work.  Microsoft Teams (AKA Teams) is a workspace for real-time collaboration and communication, meetings, file and app sharing, and more.   Currently many are familiar with “Team Sites” found on my.sxu.edu, but Microsoft Teams offers the same features, and more.  Team Sites are going to be retired, so the use of Microsoft Teams is imperative. Teams will allow for document collaboration, online chat, video, or audio conferencing, and have many other features. The IT department facilitates Microsoft Teams sites.

The following core capabilities are available in Teams:

Chat-You can chat with the entire team or have a private conversation with certain members of the team.

Online Meetings-Schedule a meeting right from Outlook or you can do a video chat with the click of a button, right through the app.

Productivity Hub-Teams offers a shared workspace for Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Planner, OneNote, SharePoint, and more. This feature gives you and your team the option to work natively without having to toggle through multiple applications when trying to complete your tasks.
