Clear your browser's cache, history, and delete cookies

Audience: Students, Faculty & Staff

Chrome

1. Open Google Chrome.

2. Select Settings from the Chrome menu (vertical ellipsis or 3 vertical dots in upper right corner).

3. Select Settings.

4. Navigate to the Privacy and security section, then click Clear browsing data.

5. Use drop down make sure that the Time Range field is set to all time. 

6. Make sure that Browsing history, Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files are all selected, then click the Clear data button.

 

FireFox

1. Open Firefox.

2. Click the menu button (3 horizontal lines in upper right corner) and choose Options..

3. On the left side of the window, select the Privacy & Security.

4. Scroll down until you reach the History section.

5. Ensure that Time range to clear is set to Everything.

6. Make sure that Browsing & Download History, Cookies, Cache, and Active Logins are all checked and click the Clear Now button.

 

Internet Explorer

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. Click the Settings icon (Gear icon) in the upper right-hand corner of the browser, then select Internet options.

3. Select the General tab.

4. Under the Browsing history section select Delete.

5. A Delete Browsing History window will appear. Select the specific attributes you wish to clear and click the Delete button.

 

Safari

1. Open Safari.

2. In the top left, select Safari, then select Clear History… from the drop down menu.

3. A window will appear. Use the drop-down menu to select all history.

4. Click Clear History..

 

Microsoft Edge

1. Open Microsoft Edge.

2. Select Settings from the Chrome menu (Horizontal ellipsis or 3 vertical dots in upper right corner).

3. Use the tab to select Privacy & Security.

4. Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.

5. Make sure that Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data, and Cached data and files are all selected, then click the Clear button.
