In order to connect to a network drive from an Apple (Mac) Operating System (El Capitan, Mojave, Catalina) follow the directions listed below:
- Open Finder.
- Click "Go" from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
- Select "Connect to Server..."
- Enter the file path you are trying to connect to: beginning with smb:// (note all slashes must be forward NOT back) i.e smb://<<SERVER_NAME>>/<<SHARE_NAME>>. Example => smb://server1/shareddrive1$
- Once you have typed the correct file path, click connect.
- If you have successfully connected the drive will appear with all the files.
