How to add an eSignature Field for a Fillable PDF

1.  Open the PDF that you would like to add an eSignature Field to with Adobe Acrobat Pro.

2.  Once opened, select the Tools tab from the menu bar as shown below.

3.  Next, scroll down and select the Prepare Form option located under the Forms & Signatures section.

4.  Your current document should default to the current selection. If not, you can use the Change File option to browse for your document. Click the Start button to continue.

5.  A new toolbar should now be opened called Prepare Form.

6.  On the Prepare Form toolbar, select the icon to add an eSignature field.

7.  Place the field where an eSignature will be required (Note that this can be moved and re-sized).

8.  You will have the option to Preview the form from the perspective of the intended signer by clicking the Preview button (To exit the preview, click the Edit button).

9.  When complete, you can now save your new PDF form that will now contain the eSignature field.

*NOTE The fillable PDF form can be emailed as necessary to recipients who need to sign the form. The signer will need to open the PDF in Adobe's free Acrobat Reader application.
