Audience: Students, Faculty & Staff
Microsoft Office 365 is being offered to Students, Faculty, and Staff. Please note that as of January 2025, Microsoft has updated their licensing model and there are limitations on access to Office 365.
What is Included:
CURRENT Students, Faculty, and Staff members are able to utilize A3 licensing:
- Microsoft Office 365 for the Web
- Microsoft Office 365 for the desktop
- OneDrive (1TB cloud) storage
PREVIOUS Students post graduation will be able to still utilize A1 licensing:
- Microsoft Office 365 for the Web
- OneDrive (100GB cloud) storage *Note that if you exceed 100GB, your OneDrive will be in Read-Only mode until you decrease your storage used below the 100GB assigned
How to download Microsoft Office 365:
1. Use the following link to direct you to Microsoft 365: Microsoft Office Apps
2. Click the Sign in button (*Usually located in the top right corner of the webpage) and enter your netid@sxu.edu.
3. Upon clicking Next, you will be redirected to SXU's Single Sign-On page where you would continue authenticating as normal.
4. Once successfully signed in, expand the Install and more button and click on Install Microsoft 365 apps.
5. Under Apps & devices, click the Install Office button to download the Office installation file.
6. Once downloaded, run the installation to complete the installation of Microsoft Office 365 onto your computing device.
NOTE Office 365 is a service that is provided Microsoft. The free applications are hosted on a server with Microsoft. The Microsoft server is known to be down up to 24 hours at a time. For Microsoft support visit: support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus
