  • Computers on campus, including Library computers
  • myMail (students and alumni); Outlook (staff and faculty)
  • mySXU Portal
  • University web-based forms

Enroll in PWReset

You must enroll for the password reset system in order to reset your password in the future without the Hub's assistance. The whole process takes about two minutes.

1. Log into PWReset at pwreset.sxu.edu using your SXU credentials (netID and password).

2. Press Click here on the banner in order to enroll:

3. Enter a non-SXU e-mail address and hit Send Code.  If you do not have a non-SXU e-mail address, you can set up a free address from Google, Yahoo!, etc.

4. Log into the non-SXU e-mail you provided and find the verification code e-mail that was sent to you. Enter the code you received and hit Next.

5. Enter the mobile number where you want to receive the verification code. Don't forget to add the lead '1' in front of the area code. Enter the code you received to your phone and click Next.

Congratulations! You are now enrolled in PWReset! You may use the system to reset your password without additional intervention going forward.

Note: You can add multiple phone numbers and multiple non-SXU email addresses to your PWReset account. If your personal contact information changes, you should update the information in the system to ensure access going forward.

Use PWReset to update your password

Once you are enrolled in the system, you can reset your password by following these steps:

1. Log into the system with your SXU credentials (netID and password).

2. Simply enter your current password and then the new password you'd like to change it to.

Note: Be sure your new password contains at least 8 characters. It should be mixed case and should include at least one number or symbol. (For example: SamplePW99).

What to do if you forget your password

Once you've enrolled with PWReset, if you ever forget your SXU credentials, you can log into the system by following these steps:

1. Click Forgot your password? on the system's log in page, enter your netID and click Continue.

2. Choose whether you'd like the system to send a verification code via the non-SXU email address OR the phone number you provided when you enrolled.

3. Once you input the verification code, the system will allow you to reset your password!

Current students, faculty, staff and alumni who are trying to get access may call the The Hub at 773-298-HELP (773-298-4357) for assistance.
